Hi, I’m Alex. Based in Berlin, I am a Sound Engineer, Music Producer, and QA Engineer working at Neural DSP. My world sits at the intersection of raw musical energy and rigorous technical precision.

I am majorly rooted in the underground metal scene and play in bands myself.
My production career started in 2013 with a modest DAW setup and my first 16-channel interface I scraped together all funds I had. Like this I started working with bands and produce first demo tapes. Since then, my studio and skills have evolved strongly alongside my ambition. This passion, I back with rigorous science, holding a B.Sc. in Media Technology and an M.Sc. in Audio Technology.

Influenced by the golden era of 70s and 80s rock and heavy metal, I strive to create authentic, character-driven sound. While I specialize in organic, electro-acoustic recordings that capture the „realness“ of a performance, I refuse to limit myself by only specific genres. My philosophy is simple: give the music what it needs to be taken seriously.

I utilize a hybrid workflow, combining the flexibility of modern DAWs with the tactile “warmth and glue” of analog. My general approach honors an „old-fashioned way“ in plenty aspects: capturing the sound of real musicians in a straight forward, organic and natural manner. However, all of this comes with a meticulous level of detail across all stages combined with modern digital tools for a rather surgical touch to ensure optimal translation across all playback systems.
